If you have been paying attention, in a previous post there was mention of a mythical album that never got released. You can find that post here. So, whatever happened to the legendary Orkestrated 2 album? Buckle your seatbelts and get ready for the ride of your life!

Not really, but seriously, it’s quite interesting how things unfolded. After Orkestrated was released in 2010, IBgorealla spent a little time polishing and perfecting his craft. At this point, writing/producing/ recording/mixing and mastering four albums solo, there was not much more to be done creatively. So the decision was made, the next project released would be a pure conceptual album. An album with nothing but deep metaphorical meanings and a full display of genius music abilities and styles.

In 2011, IBgorealla released his first mixtape titled “The Uncommon Cold” on Datpiff.com. During that process, the writing and recording had already begun for Orkestrated 2 as well. Six songs had been already been crafted but unfinished by this time: “Gravity”, “Last Night,” “National Ballers,” “I Got You Back,” “I Do This,” and “Gave Up.” Unfinished as in the instrumentals needed a few last minute tweaks and final takes had not been recorded yet, just drafts. Two party anthems were partially written with no instrumental selected yet which were “Red Cups” and “Gone Off Patron.” Some that were just on paper included two diss songs entitled “Second Time Around” and “Femme Fatale.” That completed the ten-track line-up for the album although several more had been written and experimented with.

Also during this time, IBgorealla was getting ready to welcome a new baby girl to the family which would later become his first daughter. Now, there were several distractions to deal with that were never present during any previous sessions. This was the cause of many stopping and starting points which slowed the completion of the project drastically. In late 2012, his daughter was born and he was a father for the first time.

October 2012, during the rehearsal for an upcoming show, there was a heated disagreement that sparked a pretty outrageous halt to everything. In the heat of the moment IBgorealla made the very quick decision that he was finally done with music. On that very same night, IBgorealla took every song ever created from beginning to end and permanently deleted them for good. This also included Orkestrated 2; it was a total loss. Didn’t expect that right? After several years of regret, he began the recovery process and tried to revive all the data that was loss but it was far too late. That led to the complete start-from-scratch process for “Dark Matter” in 2020.

So, whatever happened to the legendary Orkestrated 2? There you have it! Fortunately, there was some luck and out of the many bits and pieces recovered, only about 4 songs survived.
